In the past 2018, trade and investment cooperation between China and ASEAN showed vitality.

Cooperating to cope with the instability of the world economy is the common needs and realistic choice of China and ASEAN. The two sides have successful experience in coping with the 1997 East Asian financial crisis and the 2008 global financial crisis. The crisis has enhanced cooperation between the two sides. Meanwhile, the cooperation between the two sides has also withstood the test of the crisis.
